Rubrospinal
Tract
• From Red Nucleus of Mid Brain.
• Cross to opposite side in the Tegmentum
of Mid Brain constituting the Ventral
Tegmentum Decussation in Mid Brain.
• Fibres descends through Pons & Medulla.
• Enters the lateral white column of spinal
cord.
Medial
Reticulospinal
Tract
• From Reticular formation in Pons.
• Uncrossed.
• Fibres descends to Cervical segment only.
• Enters the Anterior White column of spinal
cord.
Lateral
Reticulospinal
Tract
• From Reticular formation of Brain Stem.
• Has both crossed and uncrossed fibres.
• Fibres Descends to Thoracic segment.
• Enters the Anterolateral White column of
spinal cord.
Olivospinal
Tract
• From the Inferior Olivary nucleus of
Medulla Oblongata.
• Enters the Anterolateral White
Column of spinal cord.
Vestibulospinal
Tract
• From Lateral Vestibular Nucleus of
Ponto-Medullary junction.
• Uncrossed.
• Enters the Anterior White Column of
spinal cord.
Tectospinal
Tract
• From Tectum of Superior Colliculus of Mid
Brain.
• Fibres cross to opposite side forming
Dorsal Tegmental Decussation in the Mid
Brain.
• Enters the Anterior White column of
spinal cord.
