Editor's Notes

  1. Today’s class Building the presentation Adding content, structuring, notes for presenting
  2. From here, the lessons will be very workshoppy, much less teacher led.
  3. Show SS this graph and handout their own graphs and feedback. Go around the room giving my feedback, explain about the videos and comments. Vids embedding connecting sections/transitions. animations design why does biz have to be boring?
  4. Set up a task – each s will work in groups of 3-4 and each will speak for 4 minutes about how they felt they did in the class.
  5. Explain the importance of the visual message. Do this as an activity first How is this visual effective? What do we know about the content or message here based solely on the visual? What could you do to improve your visuals? Was there any advice you can offer other students?
  6. BEWARE – Copy and pasted this into BUILDING prez slides
  7. Use the gorilla test to explain that visuals are good but they can be dangerous – this problem is the same as having too much text on the slides.
  8. Begin talking about the content of each person’s presentation. Overall this was all good and organisation was not a problem in most cases. But, how can we communicate our message even more clearly? Start thinking about what we will present about for the final pres.
  9. SS can either re-work their original presentations or create a completely new one. Recommend creating a new one if they felt they were successful, or deliver a sequel on the same theme but more expansion. Final Presentation date is 16/12 and 06/01
