General Parents- Teachers Association Resolution
Order No. 1 Series of 2021
PTA SUPPORT ON THE PILOT IMPLEMENTATION
OF LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
WHEREAS, The Department of Education previously laid out stringent conditions to our
field offices which include the following:
Pilot implementation of face-to-face classes will take place only in areas
categorized as low- risk (at least under Modified General Community
Quarantine or MGCQ).
There must be commitment for shared responsibility of DepEd, the local
government unit (LGU), the parents or guardians and the providers of
transportation.
Stringent health and safety standards shall be followed at home, during travel
to and from the school, and within school premises.
WHEREAS, The Principal of Uguis Integrated School called a general assembly for all
the parents and faculty and staff last March 12, 2021 for the dissemination of information
on the Pilot Implementation of Limited Face-to-face classes in the New normal.
WHEREAS, the school issued waiver to the parents and being signed among 179 parents
in giving their support to the Pilot Implementation of Limited Face-to-face classes as
witnessed by the faculty and staff.
WHEREAS, while continuing to contain the spread of COVID- 19, guidelines were made
in the proper protocol in coming in and going out in the school premises.
NOW, THEREFORE, WE, THE GENERAL PTA ASSOCIATION of Uguis Integrated
School, Nueva Era District, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
SECTION 1. DEFINITION OF TERMS. For purposes of this Order, the following shall be
defined as follows:
2. a. Waiver- the letter proclaiming the support and approval on the Pilot Implementation
of Limited Face-to-face classes.
b. Guidelines- a written agreement between the parents and the school about the
Pilot Implementation of Limited Face-to-face classes.
c. Covid- 19- the Coronavirus Disease 2019 which is caused by the virus known as
the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2), including its
numerous variants.
d. New Normal- the emerging behaviors, situations, and minimum public health
standards that will be institutionalized in common and routine practices and remain
even after the pandemic while the disease is not totally eradicated through means
such as widespread immunization.
e. QR- code- a machine- readable code consisting of black and white squares used
to store information for reading by a smartphone or a scanner. The information
stored is used exclusively for attendance and for contact tracing purposes.
SECTION 2. HEALTH STANDARDS. The following minimum health practices shall be
observed without bias to the exercise of more tough health practices:
1. The use of facemask of teachers, students, parents or anyone who enters in
the school premises is mandatory. In addition, all are strongly encouraged to
use a face shield and must have a personal alcohol or hand sanitizer/ hygiene
kit.
2. All persons who are to enter in the school are required to access in the “UIS-
E- XPRESS LOG”. In addition, students are required to show their Identification
Cards as for their QR codes to be scanned.
3. Upon entering the school, everyone is required to undergo hand washing with
soap and water in the washing area, step in the foot bath and do the thermal
scanning.
4. Face shields may be removed according to the demands when safety and
health of the person requires.
5. Students are required to bring their own food and bottled water.
6. Those with body- temperature exceeding 37.5 temperature degrees Celsius
will be referred to the Barangay Health Center. The concerned parent will be
called upon referral.
SECTION 3. MOVEMENT OF PEOPLE IN THE SCHOOL PREMISE.
1. As prescribed by DepEd Order No.14, series of 2020, “The Proposed Classroom
Seat Arrangement with Social Distancing” uses existing school furniture as
physical barriers between learners to better implement social distancing
measures, and does not require moving the furniture.
3. 2. Students are required to strictly follow the schedule (Set A and Set B) issued by
the school where each set contains 18- 20 students only per session.
3. Practice physical distancing (at least 1 meter apart) at all times.
4. Parents/ guardians are required to fetch their own children in the designated
waiting area.
5. All persons who enters the school must follow the Entrance-Exit Plan.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVITY. This resolution order shall take effect immediately upon
approval.
