One computer with internet access connected to a projector and an IWB in the
classroom, students' smartphones / iPhones.
ICT skills needed
Drag and drop, sending messages via WhatsApp, use of a class wiki
Warm-up
Any questions about potatoes?
Game: “A good I’ve never”
Speaking activity: “Have you ever…”
Speaking activity: “Have you ever…”

A singing contest!
Have you ever seen the rain? - Karaoke version
Alternative:
The cast of American Idol 2010, “I just haven’t met you yet”
Luke Friend, X Factor, “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for”
Integrative activity:
WhatsApping Experiences
Groups of four
Smartphone with WhatsApp application
Mobile phone number (at least one student)
Assign categories
 Groups send questions
Winner: group with most affirmative answers

Annie has gone parasailing in Hawaii. Eugenia has done
rafting in San Rafael. Mariel has been on the Tower
of Terror in MGM Studios in DisneyWorld. Ma. Rosa has

walked along the most dangerous street in Once at 2
AM.
Implementation considerations
Check the internet connection in the class computer and
Wi-Fi service beforehand.
Ask your students to bring their mobile phones with
them.
You can save the worksheets and the videos from
YouTube in your pendrive as a plan B.
For the different group tasks, the chairs should be
arranged in groups of four.
