Đặc tính của chất thải rắn nguy hại
- Ôxy hoá (OH): Các chất thải có khả năng nhanh chóng thực hiện phản ứng oxy hoá toả nhiệt mạnh khi tiếp xúc với các chất khác, có thể gây ra hoặc góp phần đốt cháy các chất đó.
- Ăn mòn (AM): Các chất hoặc hỗn hợp các chất có tính axit mạnh (pH nhỏ hơn hoặc bằng 2), hoặc kiềm mạnh (pH lớn hơn hoặc bằng 12,5).
- Có độc tính (Đ):
+ Độc tính cấp: Các chất thải có thể gây tử vong, tổn thương nghiêm trọng hoặc có hại cho sức khoẻ qua đường ăn uống, hô hấp hoặc qua da.
+ Độc tính từ từ hoặc mãn tính: Các chất thải có thể gây ra các ảnh hưởng từ từ hoặc mãn tính, kể cả gây ung thư, do ăn phải, hít thở phải hoặc ngấm qua da.
+ Sinh khí độc: Các chất thải chứa các thành phần mà khi tiếp xúc với không khí hoặc với nước sẽ giải phóng ra khí độc, gây nguy hiểm đối với người và sinh vật.
+ Có độc tính sinh thái: Các chất thải có thể gây ra các tác hại nhanh chóng hoặc từ từ đối với môi trường thông qua tích luỹ sinh học và/hoặc gây tác hại đến các hệ sinh vật.
- Dễ cháy: Chất thải có khả năng tự bốc cháy hoặc phát lửa do bị ma sát, hấp thu độ ẩm, do thay đổi hóa học tự phát có thể cháy.
- Dễ lây nhiễm: Các chất thải có chứa vi sinh vật hoặc độc tố gây bệnh cho người và động vật.
- Dễ nổ: Các chất thải ở thể rắn hoặc lỏng mà bản thân chúng có thể nổ do kết quả của phản ứng hoá học (khi tiếp xúc với ngọn lửa, bị va đập hoặc ma sát), tạo ra các loại khí ở nhiệt độ, áp suất và tốc độ gây thiệt hại cho môi trường xung quanh.
Nắm được đặc tính của chất thải có thể giúp chúng ta xác định hoặc loại bỏ các phương thức xử lý chất thải phù hợp và không phù hợp. Ví dụ, đối với chất thải có hàm lượng hữu cơ cao thì chế biến phân compost sẽ là phương pháp thích hợp để xử lý. Đồng thời, nếu hàm lượng hữu cơ cao thì việc thiêu đốt sẽ không hợp lý vì phương pháp này đòi hỏi nhiều nhiên liệu....

Khái niệm Ô nhiễm môi trường đất được xem là tất cả các hiện tượng làm nhiễm bẩn môi trường đất bởi các chất ô nhiễm.
Môi trường đất có khả năng tự làm sạch cao hơn các môi trường khác (môi trường nước và không khí) do môi trường đất có các hạt keo đất có đặc tính mang điện, tỷ lệ diện tích hấp phụ lớn, khả năng trao đổi ion và hấp phụ chúng lớn mà các môi trường khác không có. Nhưng nếu mức độ ô nhiễm vượt quá khả năng tự làm sạch của đất thì sự nhiễm bẩn trở nên nghiêm trọng. Khi đó, khả năng lây truyền ô nhiễm từ môi trường đất sang môi trường đất, nước mặt và nước ngầm và khuếch tán vào không khí rất nhanh.
Ô nhiễm môi trường đất có thể phân loại theo các nguồn gốc phát sinh như: Ô nhiễm do các chất thải sinh hoạt; do chất thải công nghiệp; do hoạt động nông nghiệp hoặc theo các tác nhân gây ô nhiễm như: Ô nhiễm đất do tác nhân hoá học; do tác nhân sinh học; Ô nhiễm đất do tác nhân vật lý.

Dandelion Hashtable: beyond billion requests per second on a commodity serverAntonios Katsarakis
This slide deck presents DLHT, a concurrent in-memory hashtable. Despite efforts to optimize hashtables, that go as far as sacrificing core functionality, state-of-the-art designs still incur multiple memory accesses per request and block request processing in three cases. First, most hashtables block while waiting for data to be retrieved from memory. Second, open-addressing designs, which represent the current state-of-the-art, either cannot free index slots on deletes or must block all requests to do so. Third, index resizes block every request until all objects are copied to the new index. Defying folklore wisdom, DLHT forgoes open-addressing and adopts a fully-featured and memory-aware closed-addressing design based on bounded cache-line-chaining. This design offers lock-free index operations and deletes that free slots instantly, (2) completes most requests with a single memory access, (3) utilizes software prefetching to hide memory latencies, and (4) employs a novel non-blocking and parallel resizing. In a commodity server and a memory-resident workload, DLHT surpasses 1.6B requests per second and provides 3.5x (12x) the throughput of the state-of-the-art closed-addressing (open-addressing) resizable hashtable on Gets (Deletes).

Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
