When creating my short film I decided to
base it on a job interview. Firstly I
included a bird eye view shot of Sophie
coming up the stairs on the way to the
interview, I decided this was an
appropriate camera angle as it displayed
to the audience what was going on in
the whole scene and reinforced how
nervous Sophie was.~
I had a over the shoulder/high
angle shot of Layla looking down
at Sophie asking her questions. I
done this to show that Layla was
In charge because she is the
interviewer asking questions
I decided to have a close-up / high
angle shot of the door handle this has
been done to display that Sophie was
getting ready to go into the room
where she had her interview.
I used a close up shot of
Sophie’s face to show how
nervous she was when she got
asked a question in her
interview.
In this shot I used a mid/two people
shot, I used this to show the
expressions on there faces and to
get both of them in a shot.
I used a mid/two people shot to
show that Layla was leaving the
room and Sophie was sitting there
waiting to see if she gets the job
or not.
I used An extreme close up of
Layla’s face to show how angry she
was that Sophie’s phone went of
the interview
I used a point of view/close up to
show that Sophie is nervous that
she is waiting to here if she has
the job.
I used a point of
view/weather shot/long
shot of the window Sophie
is looking out of, this shows
that she is thinking and is
worried
The final shot was an extreme
close up of Sophie’s face, this
is because it ends on a cliff
hanger of Layla coming back
in to tell her if she has the job
or not, the extreme close up
shows her facial expressions
are nervous and she has a sad
look in her eye.
