- 3. 4x – 3y: x = 3 & y = 4 First step! You plug in x & y to the variables. So your problem should now look like this: 4(3) – 3(4) Next you multiply both sides. Your Problem should now look like : 12 – 12 Then solve. 12 – 12 = 0 How to Evaluate Expressions
