NGOBE-BUGLE
• Ngobe-Bugle is an indigenous region of Panama.
Features represented by the Autonomous
Government / General Cacique Ngäbe and Bugle
Bugle General Congress Ngäbe. It was created in
1997 from territory of Bocas del Toro, Chiriqui
and Veraguas.
Cultural Groups
Although closely related and collectively referred to as the
Ngobe Bugle and are two groups whose languages ​​are
mutually unintelligible. The largest group, the Ngäbe speaks
Ngabere, while the smallest group, the Bugle Buglere
speaking, both are members of the language family
Chibchense. Together these two groups constitute the
largest indigenous population in Panama
FOOD Ngobe-Bugle
• These indigenous people mainly eat
maize, beans, bananas, rice and tubers such as
taro, cassava and dachin. Used to serve the food gourds
and pumpkins. Also make fermented drinks made from
corn, sugarcane, cocoa, cassava, of pixbae, ripe banana
and pineapple.
DRESS
• Panama is a representative of dress and originality consists in
making by hand, although sewing machines save
time, however, there are those who prefer their originality.
Among her dress, she is characterized by carrying a wide nightgown
solid colors with geometric increases in the chest area, simply, sleeve
and waist and the dress of man is similar to the city.
DANCES
• between their songs and dances is remarkable Jegui
which is made by couples who often imitate crayfish. For
these days are decorated with Indian beads, combs and
ribbons collected hair colors for men and colorful beads
and feathered hats and bandanas are placed.

  • 2. NGOBE-BUGLE • Ngobe-Bugle is an indigenous region of Panama. Features represented by the Autonomous Government / General Cacique Ngäbe and Bugle Bugle General Congress Ngäbe. It was created in 1997 from territory of Bocas del Toro, Chiriqui and Veraguas.

  • 4. Cultural Groups Although closely related and collectively referred to as the Ngobe Bugle and are two groups whose languages ​​are mutually unintelligible. The largest group, the Ngäbe speaks Ngabere, while the smallest group, the Bugle Buglere speaking, both are members of the language family Chibchense.
