Emotional intimacy, commitment and communication are also needed in order to have a successful
relationship, which is mutually fulfilling. During the formation of relationships, individuals
undertake physical and emotional rituals i.e. engagement. Relationships develop in stages; the order
in which they develop varies from couple to couple.
Prior to marriage, the relationship begin to materialize through courtship, ("going out.") At this stage
the two people make a transition from being individuals to being a couple (boyfriend and girlfriend.)
Stereotypically the male 'asks out' the female. The individuals interact with one another and continue

Today it seems like that marriage is just a game or a joke to people. They say oh I love you get
married and then a few years later get a divorce just because. Well this is a major problem. Over
the years I have had family members and friends that got married and have decided that they no
longer love their spouse for some reason or another and they got a divorce. I take issue with this
kind of logic. I have seen signs that say divorce without kids $150; with kids $300. We have made
