Northumbria University in the North East of England. The age range was from 18

certain amount of validity due to the results only being from people at Northumbria
University who were aged 18 19 and this cannot account for others for example those

Methods For this experiment, we used two restriction enzymes called Ava II and
Pvu II. Four tubes were needed for the experiment as well. Each microtubule was
labeled accordingly, A, B, and C. Using Micropipettes, we added 2 microliters of
pUC19 DNA into each tube. To make sure the DNA was on the bottom of the tube,
we tapped each tube on the lab bench. Each tube had its own specific amount of
different solutions added on, however the final volume for each tube was 30
microliters. Tube A had, 24 microliters of DI water, 3 microliters of the buffer, and
1 microliter of the Ava II enzyme. Tube B had, 24 microliters of DI water, 3
microliters of the buffer, and 1 microliter of the Pvu II enzyme. Tube C had, 23
microliters of DI Water, 3 microliters of the buffer, 1 microliter of Ava II, and 1

As a gentleman of a patriarchal society Winterbourne is perplexed by Daisy s

by her comment but instead assess it as innocence till Daisy s attention has drifted to
another man, the handsome multi talented Giovanelli. Daisy attempts to
rendezvousing with her new friend Giovanelli on night walk but is accompanied by
Winterbourne at his own insistence till Mrs.Walker, an elder lady of their high
society later comes to discuss upon her the matters of proper etiquette. Mrs.Walker
discusses with Winterbourne that Daisy s behavior of interactions with men will ruin
her and cohorts him into trying to convince her to stop these actions by returning with
Winterbourne and herself to the hotel. It s in this awkward confrontation that
Winterbourne s view of Daisy s innocence slightly drifts to viewing her as person that
needs to start obeying the old traditions and customs that women of their society

A person has just picked up a copy of the Saturday Press, a newspaper which is
known for publishing short stories (Powers). One of the short stories featured in the
newspaper is, Jim Smiley and His Jumping Frog , which will soon become The
Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. by a newly found writer known as
Mark Twain(Powers 154). Twain carries a heavy burden, spurred on by the Civil
War, which ended in 1865 (Gerald 336). After reading the story, all the maladies
brought about from five years of fighting are suddenly lifted.(Powers 154). In Mark
Twain s The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, several of literary
themes are incorporated, like creating a tall tale, as well as the ideal of deception,
which Twain continually brings back to the reader throughout the novel. In The
Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain, his greatest
techniques are his use of characters, setting, conflict, humor, while giving an
interesting point of view.
In The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, as in many of his other
works of literature, Mark Twain creates many memorable characters. One of the
main reasons Mark Twain does this is to create a believable character. The longer the
character is in the story, the more the reader learns about the character, making the
