Adult Literacy Services The Escondido Public Library Literacy Services offers free, confidential tutoring to English-speaking adults (18 years or older) to improve their reading, writing, math, and basic computer skills. Adults request literacy services from many different walks of life. We work with the goals of the adult in tailoring a program that will assist them in their life experiences.

History  Since September 2002, the bookmobile has made appearances at local elementary schools and community events, serving the hard to reach population. The artwork displayed on the bookmobile is from children’s books written and illustrated by Gerald McDermott.
