Ernest Hemingway was an American writer, journalist, and explorer known for his simple prose style. Some of his most famous works include The Old Man and the Sea, A Farewell to Arms, and For Whom the Bell Tolls. He was part of the "Lost Generation" expatriate community and wrote about his experiences in World War I, the Spanish Civil War, and the Great Depression. The popular video game World of Warcraft includes a tribute to Hemingway in the form of a dwarf character whose name is an anagram of the author's.
