Eric C. Rice is pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Microbiology and Nursing from the University of Rochester, with an expected graduation date of December 2017. He has a 3.45 GPA and was on the Dean's List for one of his two eligible semesters. In high school, Rice took an advanced Regents diploma and ranked in the top 15% of his graduating class. At the University of Rochester, he has taken honors biology and genetics courses involving experiments in genetic transformation and PCR. He has also participated in ROTC and held leadership roles managing budgets and planning awards ceremonies. In his community, Rice has volunteered over 300 hours in a hospital emergency room and at a nursing home.
