OBJECTIVE
To work as an environmental scientist, in the areas of natural resource management, plant
and soil science, ecology and conservation. I want be in a position where my work can
contribute to the sustainability and preservation of our natural resources. I want my work
to support the organizations overall mission. I want to be able to experience personal
growth, as well as contribute to the growth and development of the organization and its
goals. I have a strong passion for conservation and have made a personal commitment to
work in agencies or organizations that are also committed to protect, manage and
preserve our natural resources for future generations to come.
SELF-MANAGEMENT, FUNCTIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS
I have a very positive attitude. I am self-directed, an independent worker, self-motivated,
very dependable, trustworthy, a self-starter, very organized, a fast learner, efficient and
very productive. I have operated some mechanical farming and gardening equipment. I
have good leadership, management and supervisory skills, an analytical problem solver
and have good data entry skills. I love conducting research and have developed some
great research skills. I have copier machine skills, cash register skills, and good computer
skills, have power-point and excel spreadsheets skills, I have social media skills, good
telephone skills, good writing, editing and verbal skills. I am a people person and have
good customer service and sales skills. Organized and facilitated several events and have
good event planning skills. I have completed a public speaking course and have the
ability to speak some Spanish. I was an active member of 4-H, and elected as the 1st –
Vice President of a 4-H club. I have been active in organizations thru college, such as
SGA, Women’s Tennis team, and a member of a sorority. I have also been involved in
community outreach and service projects, on campus and in the local community.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Have had many achievements and success while in high school and college, I keep a
positive attitude and have demonstrated good leadership skills as well as the ability be a
good team player. I have received promotions and certificates for excellence on my jobs.
I am an honor roll student and have received honors and been awarded scholarships for
my academic and scholastic performance.

Exploration and Mountain Climbing- Mt. Katadin; involved in a 3-day study measuring
rock & mineral mountain samples. Research project involved measuring erosion over a
period of time. I utilized a variety of tools and devices to measure the mineral
composition of several soil samples. We conducted a variety of different experiments. I

Day 1- Went out on fishing boat, for a deep sea fishing expedition and research project.
Did a pull or fishing net drag. Participated a study involving the identification of a wide
variety of and other ocean aquatic specimen.
Day 2- Went into the Dauphin Island Sea Lab to study and examine varieties of fish and
the identification of species and other ocean specimen. Observed some experiments and
watched a series of film..
Day 3 – Had the opportunity to participate in the identification and observation of a wide
variety of species of bird’s migrating, because Dauphin Island is located right near the
bird’s flight path. With the help of telescope and binoculars, this equipment allowed us to
identify and make several observations. I photographed many of the birds, so I would
have the data needed to could create & facilitate a future power-point presentation.

One research project involved measuring soil content and the effects of adding various minerals and fertilizers to the soil, measuring and grafting results of soils that were treated with a variety of fertilizers and minerals, recording the results and how these additives affected the plants growth. Conducted online research, collected data made data entries, and assisted professors with ongoing science research projects.

Contact: Yes Supervised student teams and aided in the construction of a Habitat for Humanity house and a solar greenhouse. We were involved in a study exploring solar energy. We experimented with a variety of solar energy panels in the greenhouse and measured how the different panels affected the plant life and its growth compared to plain glass panels. We gave pretentions on the outcomes.
