Marine Corps District covers 10 states and Washington D.C., has over 400 recruiters and is
responsible for recruiting 6,000 new Marines each year. I was brought on board to lead a logistics staff
of 5 Marines and 3 civilians to manage 571 vehicles and 257 recruiting facilities as the recruiting mission
adapted to demographic shifts in the United States.
 Upon arriving to the district, I worked with the General Services administration to acquire a
tractor unit in order to tow a new marketing trailer to recruiting events throughout the district.
 When the Marine Corps was threatened with budget cuts due to sequestration, I created and
implemented a plan to reduce excess vehicles which saved the district $194K in the last 6
months of FY 13 and $492K from FY 2014 and following.
 I assumed the additional responsibilities of Medical Readiness improving readiness from 54% to
87% throughout the district, exceeding the 75% standard. This resulted in a noteworthy grade
in medical readiness on the Commanding Generals Readiness Inspection.
 I implemented metrics to track the reporting of vehicle accidents and completion of vehicle
accident investigations which led to reducing vehicle accidents by 26%, Government at Fault
accidents by 31.25%, and total accident costs by 19.84%.
 In order to prepare for inspections, I implemented a system that provided easy access to critical
information and responses along with self-inspections every 4 months which led to mission
capable ratings in the safety, physical fitness, body composition, medical readiness, and suicide
prevention programs on the Commanding General’s Readiness Inspection.

Marine Aircraft Wing, Cherry Point, NC

Second Marine Aircraft Wing conducts air operations in support of the Fleet Marine Force. I was
brought to the unit to lead a staff to provide administrative, logistical, security, training, and facility
support to the Commanding General and his staff of 275 people, freeing them to solely focus on
directing air operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
 As the U.S. forces were drawing down in Iraq in 2009, I ensured that 3080 pieces of Marine
Corps Equipment and 118 pieces of Theater Property Equipment were properly transferred to
the headquarters replacing the second Marine Aircraft Wing Headquarters.
 When the Second Marine Aircraft Wing Headquarters was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan, I
implemented a thorough pre-deployment training program that integrated 275 people from 3
bases, ensuring that everyone completed all training prior to departing.
 While deployed to Afghanistan I developed and implemented an internal security plan which
protected the Second Marine Aircraft Headquarters along with 5000 personnel and millions of
dollars of equipment from conventional and terrorist attack.

 When the headquarters that provides ground logistics support to the aviation units was being
deactivated, I ensured that the equipment and logistics responsibilities of that headquarters
were properly transferred to the aviation units.
Marine Corps Forces Command, Norfolk, VA
Assistant Plans Officer, Logistics and Executive Officer, July 2006 to June 2009
Marine Corps Forces Command provides Marines and resources to support Joint and Marine Corps
Service requirements. I was brought on board for the development, integration, and implementation of
Marine Corps logistics related solutions in support of Operational Plans, developmental and operational
testing, and logistic combat development and experimentation.
 When the Marine Corps was testing seabasing capabilities in the Chesapeake Bay, I led the
planning and coordination effort for the unit’s participation in experiment that successfully
transferred 40 vehicles at sea between a Navy and Maritime Propositioned Ship and then to
shore.
 When Marine Corps Forces South was conducting their premier annual exercise in the
Dominican Republic, I led a joint team that successful supported and trained for over 300
military personnel from 16 Caribbean nations to work together and respond quickly to
humanitarian crises and provide disaster relief.

The Marine Logistics Group provides direct logistics support to Marine Ground Combat units and
sustained tactical logistics to each element of the Marine Expeditionary Force beyond their logistics
capabilities. I was brought on board to lead units that deployed overseas to support the Marine
Logistics Group Headquarters and provide logistics support to combat operations.
 In order to support the Marine Logistics Groups Headquarters and allow them to focus on
directing logistics in support of combat units, I managed contractor activities, reviewed
proposals, and monitored 39 service contracts worth over $6 million.
 Three months prior to departing Iraq, I identified a shortage of 400 living spaces by analyzing
transportation data and coordinated with the contracting office to ensure tents were built prior
to the unit arriving that was to relieve us of our duties so we could return to the U.S.
 Five months after returning home from Iraq, I led and trained 256 Marines that deployed to Iraq
and successfully conducted 325 convoys delivering equipment and supplies to combat units. I
returned to the U.S. with all my Marines.
