Bubble or Styrofoam, is a kind of white plastic foam. This substance is heated with
steam polystyrene, expanded modulo formed after massive volume is 50 times of the
original, which comprises 95 to 98 per cent of air and pure polystyrene of 2 to 5 per
cent.
Small particles can be used in the manufacure of plastic foam cups and small
containers, the median particle foams can be used in the manufacture bags, and the
large particles are used for bulk packaging foam. The main features of this substance
are: insulation, light weight, waterproof.
How to produce EPS?
The raw material of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) is polystyrene, production of
Expanded Polystyrene need to use gas as a blowing agent pentane.
In the process of material production, foaming polystyrene resin particles are
impregnated by the occurrence of polymerizaiton reaction to form a Foamed
Polystyrene.
At the beginning, EPS will have a pre-expansion process, the rapid thermal
expansion of the volume increased by 50 times where in the particles occures in the
EPS beads steam action.
Next is the molding process of the Foamed Polystyrene, to continue to use steam
heating, and further expand the Foamed EPS until all elements together to form the
foam product.
How to deal with EPS Foam waste?
EPS waste are the final product of building, packaging and containers. EPS
