- 3. ‘ The Real Bruce Lee Would Never Do This’ #Mural Art 1
- 4. Description • It shows two stray cats being kicked by a Kung Fu legend, Bruce Lee. • It was not intended for people to emulate, but rather to remind the public to treat the stray cats well. • A notice is placed under it stating its title in three languages, Malay, English and Chinese, saying that the real Bruce Lee never did this to cats.

Concepts • Nonverbal communication - The terrified cat depicts that it is ethically wrong to bully animals. • Passive Perception - The meaning behind the art is not intended for people to emulate, but rather to remind the public to treat the stray cats well • Mass Communication - A clear message of anti-cruelty animal is being projected at a public space to the people.

- 9. (15 May, 2014) - ‘Feed the Stray’ is a mural in George Town, Penang. - It is a mural of a dog with its mouth open to receive meat. - The dog is called Chago, meaning stray in Chinese. - Inspire by a dog that died on the road. Description

Artist’s Background Kenji Chai - Was born and raised in, Sandakan, Sabah and currently lives in Kuala Lumpur. - His works includes the use of cute and vibrant characters with his main medium being graffiti combining elements of pop culture, fictional censorship, and a positive mental attitude, in all he creates layered scenes of mischief.

Concepts • Selective Attention - The art focuses on the feeding and the expression of the dog • Nonverbal communication - encourages people to feed the stray animals. • Subjective perception - The colour of the dog(blue) implies depression of the stray dogs but remain loyal to the human that feeds them.
- 12. Concepts • Mass Communication - Clear message of feeding the strays is being projected to the public through mural art. • Physical Appearance - Sense of joyfulness is shown on the face of the dog when being feed.

- 14. Description - The mural art is a mixing of painting with actual objects. - A young boy is holding a plant pot, pulls on a string which triggers a flow of leaves into a white cup sitting on a table. "Green tea, anyone?" (June 2012)

- 16. Concepts • Interpretive perception Zalcharevic is an artist that draws art by using the interpretive perception technique that allows the viewers to interpret the art by themselves. He let the viewers to have a wild imagination with the art. “Green tea, anyone?” indeed. • My interpretation on the art - it takes time to brew some tea. With certain techniques to make a good cup of tea, it took time. - When a person offered you a cup of tea, it could mean that person is being polite and want to make friends. Also, it could mean that that person is appreciated the friendship between you and him/her.

Concepts • Selective Attention - Light source focusing on the green tea which is poured out of the pot, attracting visitors to have a cup of green tea. • Facial Expression - The boy is smiling, showing that he is glad to serve the tea. • Non – verbal communication - The boy is brewing the tea. When someone serves you tea, he show friendliness in his action
- 18. Concepts • Subjective Perception - Green (colour of the leaves) implies a perception for the drinks in the shop, which is natural and organic. • Active Perception - The tea leaves causes viewers to have a perception of green tea being poured out of the pot.

- 20. Description The mural art showed that a squirrel is hoarding the nuts in a safe and hidden place(often bury them). Concepts • Physical Appearance - Sense of joyfulness is shown on the face of the squirrel when having tons of food storing for later consumption. • Spaces and Proximity - The squirrel is holding tight its nuts which implies that those nuts are its possession. • Subjective Perception - The green leaves indicated the squirrel is collecting back its food during spring season(after a long hibernation in winter season).

Concepts • Nonverbal Communication - Since the art was drawn in a cafe, the squirrel was cuddling the food tightly which can imply that the food was hard to find and was precious to it. - This meaning behind this art was to encourage the customers not to waste any food. • Interpretive Communication - This art consists of meanings that should be interpreted by the viewers themselves. Everyone interprets this art in different way. However, one thing for sure, the viewers would never interpret this art in negative way since squirrels are cute and innocent.
