2. FINDING A JOB ABROAD
OBJECTIVE:
- The aim of this Project is to research on how to find a
job in a foreign country, giving details about all the steps
mentioned below.
GROUPS:
- One Project for each cooperative group (4 members).
You must decide how to distribute the tasks for each
student (writer, researcher, corrector, designer)
DEADLINE:
- Week of 19th March 2018 (you can share the document
with me for corrections.)
3. HOW:
- Presentation with Powerpoint, prezzi, video.
- Monologues, dialogues.
ORAL PRESENTATION:
- The presentation must be between 10 – 15 minutes
long.
- Only English can be spoken. Do not read your notes.
- All members in the group have to speak for an equal
amount of time.
4. WHAT:
The Project must have the following parts:
- Description of the job / jobs you would like to apply for
- Which country would you like to live in? How long
would you stay there?
- Data about the city
- Data about the job advert (it must be real), conditions
to work in that country
- Details of the trip: flights, housing (how would you
find them, where, how much, when, etc)
- A video: you can choose between a role play of the job
interview or a CV video.
MARK:
20 % of your exam mark
5. ASSESSMENT RUBRIC
Clear topic and key elements (30 marks)
- You have researched on the topic
- The aim of your project is clear
- All parts of the project are included
Information (30 marks)
- Your showed and explained the data
- Your conclusions are clear and meaningful
- The Project information is well organised
- Good quality and effort in the video
Fluency and correction (20 marks)
- Both the written and oral parts have not mistakes
- You speak fluently, without reading
- Good pronunciation
Presentation (20 marks)
- The presentation is visually attractive
- There is some logical order
- All members speak equally
- Eye contact, enthusiasm, good posture
