“Stay Safe, Be Prepared”
Coronavirus, the worst disease
Hide in your homes, if you please.
Symptoms like fever making us weak
Doctor’s help, we need to seek.
Wash your hands with some soap
We’ll fight the virus, that’s the hope
Sneeze and cough into a tissue
Let’s take some steps to tackle this issue.
Don’t go to the crowded places
Don’t be one of those thousand cases
Visit a doctor if you need care
Now, just make others, all aware.
It’s a nice poem, isn’t it?
Now children, look at the underlined words.
Okay I’ll read it first and you will repeat it after me.
Alright. Now what have you noticed about the
underlined words?
Do these words have the same ending sound?
Alright. Yes they do!
So kids, the words that we talk about earlier are
examples of rhyming words.

rhyming words. A poem or a song that incorporates

Find the rhyming words in the poem and write it on
your paper.
“My Dog”
The name of my dog is Bailey
He is cute and jolly
He guards the house well
If there’s a stranger we can tell
My dog loves to play
So we play everyday
And when the play is done
We had so much fun
When I go out he wails
When I come back he wags his tail
Oh! I couldn’t love him lesser
I will treasure him forever.
