Recognition and practice of concerted
pedagogical behaviors.
These behaviors represent several key
constructs of cognition that form two
major factors: (a) knowledge of cognition
and (b) regulation of cognition
ESL/EFL teachers (a) hone their existing
knowledge constantly; (b) construct their
own conceptions and theories of language
teaching and articulate personal teaching
theories ; (c) familiarize themselves with
new trends; and (d) reflect on the
conceptualization of the teaching, beliefs,
and practices in which they engage.
