Sweet bread, also known as cozonac, is a traditional Romanian cake cooked for Christmas. It is characterized by its round, high shape and dough made from flour, milk, sugar, eggs, butter, yeast, and sometimes lemon or orange. Sweet breads can be straight or round, simple or braided, and may contain nuts, poppy seeds, raisins, candied fruits, cocoa, or marmalade. They are baked at 180°C in a preheated oven until risen and browned, then allowed to cool on a heat-resistant tray.
