There are two major types of energy: renewable and non-renewable. Energy can take many forms including light, power, heat, and movement. As energy usage increases, especially for non-renewable sources like coal and gas, future planning is needed to reduce consumption and transition to more renewable options such as solar, wind, and waves. Energy is never destroyed, only changing forms when used.

3. Why do we need to plan for future energy use? We are using more & more energy like petrol in the car and electricity & gas at home and industry, but most of these are not renewable e.g. Burning coal and gas . We need to plan to reduce our energy use such as homes which need less air-conditioning & we need to plan more renewable energy. E.g. solar, wind & waves.

4. Energy Doesn't Disappear We have the same amount of energy as when the world began. When we use energy we don’t use it, it changes into different forms.
