Ideally this scribe wanted to write
a book on the contentious and
central issue that this short essay
addresses ! I.e. “bias”.

4. But life is short and art long !
This write up freely shared at all
notable free data sharing forums
is written in Pure Public Interest !
A book can never reach these
mass thoughts like the way mass
dissemination can !
I was visiting Quetta some years
back and staying in a hotel.
As I was having my regular
evening drink communing with the

5. bottle I heard a voice in the
adjoining hotel gallery !
An adult shouting in loud voice for
his child “ Vishnu” ! A name used
by Hindus !
I was thunder struck and this took
me back many decades to 1965 !
My father was posted as garrison
engineer Drigh Road Air base of
Pakistan Airforce on deputation
from the Pakistan Army and wore
the ranks of a squadron leader.

6. As a four year old it was my
favorite past time to hide in the
study of my father and listen to
conversations of adults !
There I first heard the name
“Vishnu”.
A rather hostile stranger was
sitting with my father and the
conversation was about one
character “Vishnu”.
The stranger was questioning my
father as to why he invited one
Vishnu to a function held in

Drigh Road.
A club where I had countless very
pleasant memories of visiting the
swimming pool and many social
fatherings while my father was
posted at Drigh Road Air base
between 1964 and 1968 !
Some years later as I grew up I
learnt more precisely about this
Vishnu episode from my family !
My father was a serious soldier
and rarely spoke .My mother

about this Vishnu episode !
Vishnu it was narrated was a
famous Hindu musician of
Karachi.A pakistani citizen.
My father had him invited for
some social gathering held in
Pakistan Air Force Club at Drigh
Road Air base !
The air intelligence reported
against this and claimed that this
was a breach of security as a
Hindu had been invited !

9. A witch hunt was initiated against
my father but finally nothing
happened !
Finally nothing happened as it was
nonsense allegation. My father
with highest security clearance
served in most sensitive
appointments like dealing with
Pakistan Armys was plans in
military operations directorate in
1973-74 !

10. It was at Drigh Road that he
befriended Air Commodore Sapru
a Liberal Par Excellence ,with
whom our family became closely
related by intermarriages !
All was not bad but the enemies of
Vishnu always existed and will
exist !
However this incident of gross
prejudice and bias always stayed

11. in my mind but in 2013 it came
back like a thunder bolt !
Perhaps ice cold weather of
Quetta , a city where I grew up !
The kick of BELLS extra special
whiskey , considered harsh by my
friends but my favourite brand
since a British swindler of great
taste who defrauded me of a large
amount introduced me to this
brand in 1995 !

12. No hard feelings against Mr xyz !
But grateful that he introduced
Bells !
The Britisher was close to a gulf
arab prince and I later discovered
had made his breakthrough as
most breakthroughs are made in
history of mankind by PIMPING ! A
harsh but 200 percent HARD
FACT !

13. That Pakistan was so intolerant in
1965 or so was a harsh discovery !
There was no general zia or
Taliban !
As I grew up and read history I
realized that in an intolerant place
where 1 million people were
massacred in Indian and Pakistani
Punjab and Hariana in 1947 , bias
was the RULE rather than an
exception !

14. Why and how is not the subject of
this short essay since our interest
is VISHNU ! And the enemies of
VISHNU as I will call all biased
people.
In the age of mass media and TV
channels Indias Modi became the
butt of attacks but as I saw in
Pakistan and worldwide Bias was
always there !

15. This bias has nothing to do with
religion or with Modi or Hitler or
anyone !
It is a simple human failing and
has existed all along in history !
After all how do you differentiate
between Adolf Hitler and the
Atlantic Rim powers (USA and
Britain) when the COMMON
FACTOR that defined them was
HATRED of SLAV RACE (Not
communism) !

16. Compare German hatred of USSR
in 1941 and American hatred of
Putins Russia in 2020 ! Adolf Hitler
I think died in 1945 !
And when a sane rational man
Trump wants USA to be friends
with Russia , he is attacked by
many idiots in USA !
This is bias and this scribes humble
advice to all students of history is
to Understand that.

17. Bias is related to jealousy and
jealousy can make anyone each
others enemies even brothers ,
same race, same country etc.
Religion race and ideology are only
used to rationalize hate.
BEWARE OF ENEMIES OF VISHNU
AND VISHNU HERE IS A SYMBOL
AND NOT RELATED TO ANY
RELIGION !
