2. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again and receive you to Myself;
that where I am, there you may be also.

3. Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking
up into heaven? This Jesus, who was
taken up from you unto heaven, will come
in the same way as you saw Him go into
heaven.

4. For the Lord Himself will descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of an
archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first.

5. Then the seventh angel sounded: And
there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
“The kingdoms of this world have become
the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ,
and He shall reign forever and ever!”

6. The great day of the Lord is near; It is near
and hastens quickly. The noise of the day
of the Lord is bitter; There the mighty men
shall cry out.

7. 15 That day is a day of wrath, A day of
trouble and distress, A day of devastation
and desolation, A day of darkness and
gloominess, A day of clouds and thick
darkness,

8. 16 A day of trumpet and alarm Against the
fortified cities And against the high towers.

9. 17 “I will bring such distress on all people
that they will grope about like those who
are blind, because they have sinned
against the Lord.Their blood will be poured
out like dust and their entrails like dung.

10. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold will be
able to save them on the day of the Lord’s
wrath.” In the fire of his jealousy the whole
earth will be consumed, for he will make a
sudden end of all who live on the earth.

11. Now, brothers and sisters, about times and
dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for
you know very well that the day of the Lord
will come like a thief in the night.

12. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and
safety,” destruction will come on them
suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant
woman, and they will not escape.

13. 4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in
darkness so that this day should surprise
you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the
light and children of the day. We do not
belong to the night or to the darkness.

14. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are
asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and
those who get drunk, get drunk at night.

15. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be
sober, putting on faith and love as a
breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a
helmet.

16. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath
but to receive salvation through our Lord
Jesus Christ.

17. 12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal,
and behold, there was a great earthquake;
and the sun became black as sackcloth of
hair, and the moon became like blood.

18. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth,
as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is
shaken by a mighty wind.

19. "And I will show wonders in heaven above,
and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and
fire, and vapor of smoke: The sun shall be
turned into darkness, and the moon into
blood, before that great and notable day of
the Lord come"

20. And when ye shall see Jerusalem
compassed with armies, then know that the
desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them
which are in Judea flee to the mountains;
and let them which are in the midst of it
depart out;

21. and let not them that are in the countries
enter there into. For these be the days of
vengeance, that all things which are written
may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are
with child, and to them that give suck, in
those days!

22. For there shall be great distress in the land,
and wrath upon this people").

23. "Alas! For that day is great, so that none is
like it: It is even the time of Jacob's trouble,
but he shall be saved out of it.

24. Then I was given a reed like a measuring
rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and
measure the temple of God, the altar, and
those who worship there.

25. 2 But leave out the court which is outside
the temple, and do not measure it, for it has
been given to the Gentiles. And they will
tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two
months.

26. “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded
by armies, then know that its desolation is
near. 21Then let those who are in Judea
flee to the mountains, let those who are in
the midst of her depart, and let not those
who are in the country enter her.

27. 22 For these are the days of vengeance,
that all things which are written may be
fulfilled.

28. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and
to those who are nursing babies in those
days! For there will be great distress in the
land and wrath upon this people.

29. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the
sword, and be led away captive into all
nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by
Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are
fulfilled.

30. 3 And I will give power to my two
witnesses, and they will prophesy one
thousand two hundred and sixty days,
clothed in sackcloth.”

31. 4 These are the two olive trees and the two
lampstands standing before the God of the
earth. 5And if anyone wants to harm them,
fire proceeds from their mouth and devours
their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm
them, he must be killed in this manner.

32. 6 These have power to shut heaven, so
that no rain falls in the days of their
prophecy; and they have power over
waters to turn them to blood, and to strike
the earth with all plagues, as often as they
desire.

33. 7 When they finish their testimony, the
beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit
will make war against them, overcome
them, and kill them.

34. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street
of the great city which spiritually is called
Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord
was crucified.

35. 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes,
tongues, and nations will see their dead
bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow
their dead bodies to be put into graves.

36. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will
rejoice over them, make merry, and send
gifts to one another, because these two
prophets tormented those who dwell on the
earth.

37. 11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the
breath of life from God entered them, and
they stood on their feet, and great fear fell
on those who saw them.

38. 12 And they heard a loud voice from
heaven saying to them, “Come up here.”
And they ascended to heaven in a cloud,
and their enemies saw them.

39. 13 In the same hour there was a great
earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In
the earthquake seven thousand people
were killed, and the rest were afraid and
gave glory to the God of heaven.

40. "Watch therefore: for ye know not what
hour your Lord doth come" "Therefore be
ye also ready: for in such an hour as you
think not the Son of man cometh."

41. 45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant,
whom his master made ruler over his
household, to give them food in due
season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom
his master, when he comes, will find so
doing.
