31 The Lord has filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God,
giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all
kinds of crafts. 32 He is a master craftsman, expert
in working with gold, silver, and bronze. 33 He is
skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in
carving wood. He is a master at every craft. 34 And
the Lord has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of
the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach their skills to others. 35 The
Lord has given them special skills as engravers, designers,
embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet thread on fine linen
cloth, and weavers.They excel as craftsmen and as designers.

16 Then the Lord said to Moses,“Gather before
me seventy men who are recognized as elders
and leaders of Israel. Bring them to the
Tabernacle to stand there with you. 17 I will
come down and talk to you there. I
will take some of the Spirit that is
upon you, and I will put the Spirit upon
them also. They will bear the burden of the
people along with you, so you will not have to
carry it alone.

18 The Lord replied,“Take Joshua son of
Nun, who has the Spirit in him, and
lay your hands on him. 19 Present him
to Eleazar the priest before the whole
community, and publicly commission him to
lead the people. 20 Transfer some of your
authority to him so the whole community of
Israel will obey him.

against Israel and crossed the Jordan, camping in
the valley of Jezreel. 34 Then the Spirit of the
Lord took possession (came upon) of

Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali, summoning their
warriors, and all of them responded.

9. 1 Samuel 16:12b-13 NLT
And the Lord said,“This is the one; anoint
him.” 13 So as David stood there among his
brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil
he had brought and anointed David with the
oil. And the Spirit of the Lord came
powerfully upon David from that
day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah.

make a new covenant with the people of Israel and
Judah. 32 This covenant will not be like the one I made
with their ancestors when I took them by the hand
and brought them out of the land of Egypt.They broke
that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves
his wife,” says the Lord. 33 “But this is the new
covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that
day,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions
deep within them, and I will write them on
their hearts. I will be their God, and they
will be my people.

11 “I baptize with water those who
repent of their sins and turn to God. But
someone is coming soon who is greater
than I am—so much greater that I’m not

sandals. He will baptize you with
the Holy Spirit and with fire.

28. QUIET STRENGTH
There is a story about a sunken ship that illustrates the quietness of
the spirit, but at the same time His Power in our lives. "Several years
ago engineers building a new bridge over the East River in New
York, discovered that the wrecked hull of a ship, sunk many years
before, lay right where the center piers were to be built. Powerful
machinery was brought in to remove the ship, but it would not
budge. Then one of the engineers had an unusual idea-why not have
the tide raise the ship!! Some strong cables were attached to the
hull when the tide was low.The other ends were fastened to the
barge above. As the tide came in, the barge gradually
lifted the sunken ship. It was then towed out into the
ocean and sunk at a spot that would not cause future
problems." God’s Holy Spirit is like the tide, it comes
quietly, it comes in slowly, but it comes to us with
enough power so that we might do the job God has
called and led each of us to do.

29. Galatians 5:16-17; 25
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.
Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature
