CULTURAL ORIGIN 
“Emo” used to be used to describe a type of 
music. It was known at 80s, at 90s it changed 
and it became popular. The word “emo” comes 
from “emotional”.
STYLE: CLOTHING 
They wear dark clothes (similar to punk and 
rock) they also wear accessories with strong 
colors. The shirts can be patterned and tight.
STYLE: HAIRSTYLE 
They take care of their hair and they use it to express their 
own feelings. They usually cover one of their eyes so then 
they can hide some of their personality or that they aren’t 
feeling the same way as the others.
FEELINGS 
They know that life is not perfect and it has 
good and bad things so they can deal with 
them.
LIES 
People think that they have alimentation 
problems like anorexia. They also think that 
they have sexual relations since they are very 
young.
MUSIC 
They listen to love and hate songs. 
We add a song from a group known as “Fall Out 
Boy”, the song is called “Thanks for the 
memories”
