This document discusses three key problems with the current state of clinical communication: 1) fragmented communication across multiple devices wastes up to 91 minutes per day of clinicians' time, 2) the lack of context in digital messages can compromise patient care, and 3) unmanaged use of personal devices for work purposes jeopardizes protected health information security and could result in large fines. It argues that a streamlined, context-aware communication solution is needed to address these problems and improve patient care.
