This project implemented during an internship at a public kindergarten involved students learning about knights through various activities. The students expressed interest in knights after playing an educational game. Over the course of 20 activities, the students learned about knights, created castles and armor, made books telling a story, and shared what they learned with other classrooms by visiting them. They concluded the project with a quiz and poster to summarize what they learned.

I will use a bold, easily recognizable font for the title to draw in new and familiar readers. The layout will have most text on the left side of the front page to catch passersby's eyes and be neat and aligned throughout to avoid confusion. I won't use unclear, unreadable fonts or bubble text, which would make the magazine look unprofessional, and I won't scatter elements all over pages, which could look scruffy and be hard to read unlike serious school magazines.

Combining Social Media Storytelling With Web Archives

Web archive collections consist of 1000s of documents. Manually making sense of collections at this scale is difficult. We propose using social media storytelling to aid in summarizing web archive collections. We discuss AlNoamany's Algorithm for generating a representative sample from these collections and highlight how to use the Dark and Stormy Archives toolkit.
