Nurses should provide family support by
keeping them informed about the
patient's condition and prognosis, and
by involving them in the care plan.

9. Be positive. A positive attitude can
help to reassure the patient and make them
feel more comfortable.
Be supportive. Offer Be
professional. to help the patient in any way
that you can. This could include getting
them a blanket, getting them something to
drink, or simply listening to them talk.
Be prepared to leave. If another
healthcare provider is available to take
over, excuse yourself and let them know
that you are available if they need you

something like, "I understand that this
