provide the primary first aid required
for patients in the Emergency
Department or at the site of the
accident,

where there is a difference and

the patient in unconscious, he/she
should start his/her work immediately.

observant to accelerate the admission of
patients in need,
not to be left untreated in the
Emergency Department for any long
period of time.
Nurses should provide family support by
keeping them informed about the
patient's condition and prognosis, and
by involving them in the care plan.

9. Be positive. A positive attitude can
help to reassure the patient and make them
feel more comfortable.
Be supportive. Offer Be
professional. to help the patient in any way
that you can. This could include getting
them a blanket, getting them something to
drink, or simply listening to them talk.
Be prepared to leave. If another
healthcare provider is available to take
over, excuse yourself and let them know
that you are available if they need you

patient's pain or distress and say
something like, "I understand that this
must be a difficult time for you.
Be honest. If you don't have an
answer to a question, tell the patient
that you will find out for them. Do not
