The main objective of the platform is the encounter between who has ideas and who has the financial
resources and means for turning them in reality; for this reason the ecosystem is open to visionaries,
researchers, designers, freelances, creative persons, advisors, planners, software houses, universities,
companies working in innovation which meet entrepreneurs, investors, managers, businesses, institutions,
associations and firms, with a project to realize or with innovative ideas for their business.
eMatchIdea will be based on a technological advanced platform revolutionizing the traditional business
models because is an international virtual open market bringing into contact inventors and sponsors, firms
and professional people, requirements and solutions, people with skills to sell and people with resources to
invest. Into the platform inventors, designers or engineers sell their projects, ideas, patents to entrepreneurs,
investors, businesses; freelancers and consultants sell own skills and competences to businesses, industries.

innovative solutions;
The establishment of a research network including the public and private sectors with the aim of
promoting the exchange of collaborations, ideas and proposals so that they can also become
industrial solutions according the request and necessity of entrepreneurs;
The demand for new ideas and new business solutions from the companies, in order to improve their
competitiveness, that matches the offering of solutions and ideas or the proposal of appropriate skills
suited to resolve the request;
The supply of skills, competences and consultancy to meet the demand for consulting by businesses
in order to encourage new ways of teleworking;
The proposal for solutions, ideas, tools, services which can be financed through crowd funding with
the aim of finding new forms of financing for enterprises and innovative ideas;
The research of calls, prizes and awards offered by public and private organizations, in order to

The objectives listed pose three condition must be reached for the successful of the ecosystems. First: it must
be ensured the mechanism of intellectual protection, the guarantee of confidentiality and the correctness of
the financial transactions. Second: the ecosystems must be international; this requires a strong marketing and
dissemination actions in different European Countries in order to promote the conceptual basis of the
ecosystem in different European countries for the different subjects potentially interested. Third: it is
necessary to test the ecosystem through a pilot phase that has the aim to demonstrate in real cases the

conditions will be analysed and managed during the project in order to reach the objectives listed for the
realization of the eMatchIdea ecosystem.
The ecosystem eMatchIdea is a virtual marketplace in which different subjects belonging to different
organizations and in different European countries meet each other with the main aim to find funding, finalize
or sell ideas, improve business, meet novel experiences in order to expand own ideas, products or services,
propose solutions, find solutions. The environment is open to inventors which want to sell own projects,
businesses which needs new solutions and new products, freelancers and consultants which propose own
skills and competences and industries that needs skills and competences, researchers which search skills to
undertake new research, or searching funding to implement their researches, entrepreneurs which search
collaboration with other entrepreneurs in different countries, bright students, young workers which search aid
for start-up or spin-off, who propose new models and ideas (in each field of human knowledge) searching
collaboration funding and crowd funding, anyone who feels innovators or search collaboration.
According the possible users, different services are provided, each of them responding to a specific
relationship and business model.
The workflow that regulates the relationship i2e (inventor to entrepreneur) allows to make to meet who has
an idea and who has the means to achieve it. The service must ensure the seriousness of the proposal and of
the intentions of the tentative investor, and the reservation of the proposal that is unveiled in two steps
subsequent. The services of the platform follow the negotiation up to the final transaction. The inventor
publishes the idea or project in two step: in which the basic idea is explained in the more deeper details
according the aims that the creator intends to achieve in the matching phase, more detailed explanation of the
idea will have greater chances to be funded.
In the first level are provided generic information like the section for which to apply, the localization of the
idea, expiration date, title and subtitle, funding requested, business target; and specific information for
presenting the idea, such as a brief explanation, 10 keywords, what you need for achieving the objective
(funds, collaboration, partners, …), the level of privacy. This level provides information about the idea (the
input phase) and the same fields must be filled by the requesting counterpart who are searching solutions and
ideas in the encountering phase.
The second level is based on more detailed presentation of the idea through the following information: full
description, curriculum of the key person proposing the idea, explanation of the requests (funding,
collaboration, partner, …), business plan, technological issues to face.
Entrepreneur who is interested buys the idea.
In a manner analogous, the entrepreneurs makes a own request of new product or services who desire to
finalize and ask to the inventors and designers of the eMatchIdea ecosystem to formulate a project
responding to the requirements. This service is subject to charge in order to ensure seriousness in the
proposition of ideas and in the negotiation phases.
The relationship e2e (entrepreneur to entrepreneur) allows to create a collaboration space for the businesses.
Industries, SME or large companies can make their request to other companies in order to collaborate for
improving own business. This service is subject to charge in order to ensure seriousness between the
companies accessing the platform.
The relationship f2e (freelance to entrepreneur) ensure the opportunity for the freelance to pose own
competences of the on line marketplace in order to respond to the specific requirements of the entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs make their requests in order to buy services; freelance and consultants make proposal in order
to respond to them. The area is free for the freelance, but the seriousness is verified by the moderators of the
platform.
The pathway r2r (research to research) aims to create a virtual network of researchers in which they could
find collaboration for the research and for improve project and ideas. The main aims is to maintain
researchers (belonging to University or Research Centres) together in an ecosystem in which they could
access also to idea marketplace and propose their competences. For this reason also an electronic Magazine
is proposed in which whoever can share experiences, use cases, and success stories. This area is for free and
is dedicated to researchers who starting from own applied research desire to find an environment in which to
share ideas, projects and to lay the basis for the construction of a project financeable by investors.
Crowd funding is the area allowing the collaboration effort for providing funding together. Being this
function not novel we think that could be interesting in the ecosystem in order to provide different services in
the area of innovation, and idea marketplace. Inventors or creative if don’t find an entrepreneurs willing to

buy own idea can try the way of crowd funding. Moreover this funding opportunity is more addressed for
cultural projects rather than technological proposal. But in any case it is useful for provide an opportunity
also for cultural projects.
eMatchIdea provides services for different subjects. It is a place in which ideas meet the people who can turn
them into reality. But innovation is a team work, often the idea start by a hint an inspiration, but needs time
and work for becoming a project, it requires a collaboration, it takes cues from other project, form solution
improving. For this reason we propose an ecosystem: a unique platform for more services.
