This document proposes a solution for smart AAA brokering to address challenges with real-time authorization and accounting for IoT devices. The key aspects of the proposed solution are: 1) A policy-driven smart AAA broker that can reside anywhere between IoT devices and the BSS/OSS and handle AAA requirements through configurable policies. 2) The broker would pull device/customer information and policies from the BSS/OSS and subscribe to policy/pricing changes. 3) Communication policies would define characteristics for interacting with IoT devices and the BSS/OSS based on technical and business needs. This solution aims to meet diverse IoT device AAA demands cost-effectively without stressing core networks
