The study investigates the impact of occupational stress on the work performance of police officers in Nakuru Police Division, Kenya, revealing that high levels of occupational stress negatively affect their performance, which is rated as fair. The research utilized a sample of 91 officers and various data collection instruments, finding a lack of welfare support systems for officers despite the stressful nature of their work. Recommendations include the implementation of policies to mitigate work-related stress to enhance police service efficiency and public safety.
