β-sitosterol containment. These active H. sabdariffa flower
compounds have been studied and concluded to
increase lipoprotein lipase activity, bile-acid
bound, and catalytic activity rate of cholesterol
which may explain the hypolipidemic effect of
Hibiscus sabdariffa.
