Regional Plan Association works to protect and improve the environment in ways
that sustain vibrant, healthy and resilient ecosystems and communities. We
undertake research, recommend policy and planning initiatives and identify
innovative solutions for our most pressing energy and environmental challenges
to ensure critical natural resource protection and enhanced biodiversity; promote
abundant recreational opportunities; enhance stewardship and resiliency and
improve environmental conditions throughout the region.

Ensure our communities and ecosystems are more
resilient to the impacts of climate change ‐ including sea
level rise, flooding, more frequent and intense storms
and extreme heat – through adaptation and open space
protection/restoration.

10. Protect our region’s unprotected open spaces, connect
and enhance the quality of our protected spaces, restore
critical habitat and ensure clean air and water and
healthy, biodiverse ecosystems.
