 Begin with the spelling
  inventory to determine
  the students stage of
  development.
 When stage is
  determined, give the
  feature inventory to
  determine what
  feature to focus on
  during instruction
 Begin by sorting the words with students.
  Investigate the words. Keep in mind the
  features.
 Reinforce using a variety of sorts and
  activities that will encourage the student
  to be actively engaged.

  • 5.  Begin with the spelling inventory to determine the students stage of development.  When stage is determined, give the feature inventory to determine what feature to focus on during instruction
  • 6.  Begin by sorting the words with students. Investigate the words. Keep in mind the features.  Reinforce using a variety of sorts and activities that will encourage the student to be actively engaged.
