Eden Project Green Fingers Festival June 2014

- #5 Like many home owners I am not a horticulturalist but I wanted to create a nice garden. I had a vision for my garden (I knew what colours and plant shapes I liked) but when it came to planting I had some problems: My plants were dying – e.g. lavender I didn’t know how or when to care for my plants I couldn’t remember the names of my plants I was confused and a little bit intimated. I am not alone. Gardening Which? Surveys suggest that: 50% of gardeners have had a plant die within one year of purchase Plant labels don’t provide enough information. It’s hard to find knowledgeable staff in-store to help. I wasn’t getting the guidance I needed.
