3. Ecosystems includes living and non-living.
Living things: Plants (flora), animals (fauna),
other organism, (fungi and microorganism).
Organism form groups: Same species are
called population, population interact with
other and form a comunity
Non-living: soil (with rocks and minerals), air,
water, sunlight, temperature, climate…
4. Tundra: Is cold and very dry, are in the North Pole.
There are mosses and some grasses. Fauna typical
of tundra are reindeers, foxes, polar bears.
Grasslands: Two tipes: Savannahs in tropical areas
and temperate graslands (pampa) are cold.
Examples of graslands elephants, zebras, jiraffes,
lions… and in savannahs dogs, wolves…
Tropical rainforest: Are warm and wet all year long.
Some examples of flora and fauna are: Trees,
monkeys, ferns, snakes, parrots…
5. Forest:
Coniferous forest (COLD AREAS)
Plants evergreen trees (PINES).
Animals bears, deer, foxes…
Temperate deciduos (lose their lives in
winter) Animals Squirrels
Mediterranean forest (In
mediterránean areas) Animals eagles
foxes.
6. Marine:
Coral reef: Lots of species
Shoreline: Is the place when the land
and the soil meet. Plants and animals
have adapted to the strong tides waves.
Open ocean: Is the large ecosystem on
the earth. Shark, fish, dolphins, whales.
7. Freshwater:
Flowing water: Rivers and streams. Fish,
crocodile, frog…
Standing water: Lakes and ponds. Ponds
are smaller than the lake and don´t have
waves.
Wetland: Is when the freshwater covered
the land.
