The East Race Waterway provides kayaking, canoeing, and rafting experiences based on Christian values and morals. It includes a whitewater course for beginners and experts, fishing opportunities, and over 5 miles of trails. The East Race has hosted Olympic qualifying events and seen earnings peak in the summer months between $10,000-14,000 annually since 2004.

3. What is the East Race Waterway?
1.) A whitewater course for beginners & the advanced.
2.) Easy viewing of all waterway activities and
competitions.
3.) A fish ladder with seasonal viewing/fishing of
Chinook salmon, steelhead trout and small-mouth bass.
4.) Part of a multiple park system that includes
playgrounds, picnic facilities, and much more.
5.) More than 5 miles of paved & lighted
walking/running paths along the St. Joseph River.
