Abstract

Earthquake is the sudden release of energy,
that creates Seismic Waves.

Using image transform methods we can predict
the occurrence of earthquake.

We use HHT transform technique to extract the
signals that cause earthquake from the
underground water.
Introduction..

Earthquake occurs due to two interacting
process
Accumulation of Energy & Release of that
energy.
Co-seismic Signals
Study on such pre-signals can identify the
earthquake occurrence.
Existing System
The is an accumulation of energy under the earth
creates some patterns called Seismic patterns.

These patterns are constructed & recognized
using RTP Pattern Recognition Method.
Drawbacks of RTP

1. An algorithmic approach.
2. Chance of creating False alarm.
3. Restricted to short-term prediction.
Proposed System
Image Transform technique to extract co-
seismic signals from underground water.

We can use HHT(Hilbert-Huang) or Gabor
transforms.

Noise reduction using Daubechies(DB9)
wavelet method.
Conclusion

Using HHT transform we can predict
earthquake accurately than by using RTP.
No false alarms.
