I
From A Quality Perspective
The QUality Assurance department takes a look at every aspect of our facility. We do this by conducting
audits of each department on a monthly basis. We make sure that we are following our written company
policies, work instructions, procedures, FAA regulations, OSHA and New York State law. We also compare
and match requirements from the Coordinating Agency for Supplier Evaluation Standard (C.A.S.E.) The
CASE standard is what most airlines use to determine whether they will allow us to work on their aircraft.
By meeting and/or exceeding the CASE standards we are placed on their approved vendors list. In fact,
since we are CASE registered some airlines may choose not to perform an audit of the facility and will just
send their aircraft to EAC based on our registry status.
Most often, however, airlines will want to come to our facility and perform on-site audits. Within the last five months we have
passed audits by the following airlines:
                                              Lynden Air Cargo World Airways
                                              DOT Team Omni Air International
                                              FAA Team ABXCase lA
                                              TransAero Airlines Virgin America
                                              Gemini Air Cargo United Pre-Award
                                              Air Canada Skybus Airlines
If we do not pass the audits we can not work on the customers aircraft, which is why our standard is audit ready always. If the
price between MRO's is a narrow margin, "Quality" can become the factor that entices the customer to choose Empire Aero
    Center.

As a part of our continued effort to introduce Empire Aero Center and careers in aviation to local high school
students, we are happy to welcome Ashley Armstrong to our facility as a participant in the Madison-Oneida BOCES
Professional Horizons Program. This program matches area high school students with companies in an effort to
provide mentoring and exposure to future career goals. Ashley comes to us highly recommended by Rome Free
Academy where she is a junior this year. Her area of interests lies in Aeronautical engineering with a strong desire to
enter the Astronautics program in the future. During her stay at Empire Aero Center, she was paired with Lawrence
Parrish, our Manager of Quality Assurance. Through her time spent with Larry, she was able to observe many
areas of the Aircraft Maintenance and Overhaul operation through a quality perspective. We hope that through this
learning experience, we can help Ashley in obtaining her future goals in aviation.
