This document provides instructions for completing a writing portfolio assignment. It directs the student to: 1. Divide a paper into three sections labeled "What I know about writing," "What I believe I will learn," and "What I learned." 2. Complete the first two sections by hand and set them aside to work. 3. Research definitions for writing, the writing process, punctuation, punctuation rules, grammar, parts of speech, paragraphs, types of paragraphs, and opinions. 4. Provide examples and labels for defined terms where instructed. 5. Write a concluding paragraph reflecting on what was learned. The portfolio is due on July 14th.
