Summary-What is E Rate?-Disctrict’s Technology Plan for 2010-2011-Budget
GoalsElectronic media – upgrading  Photography/video/sound equipment to meet industry’s quality Standards, functional for educational training, efficient for district presentations, on par with technology used in media outlets within the BISD media audiences and to facilitate more effective communications with BISD main audiences.
VoIP – Installing the recently purchasedVoice Over Internet Proctocol system which will replace the standard PBX telephone operations in most buildings. Also, VoIP will provide a telephone in each classroom—eliminating disruption of class for minor office errands and decreasing student discipline problems. VoIP is a higher quality, more cost-effective and – efficient cutting edge communications system.
Upgrade computersin elementary schools (middle and highschools received upgrades in previous twoyears.)
