2. My name is Michaela Phillips, and I
am currently a History Major at
Loyola University of Chicago.

3. Where have you lived?
Before moving to Chicago for college, I have
currently lived in:
• Monterey, California
• Antofagasta, Chile
• Santiago, Chile
• Jacksonville, Florida
• Cincinnati, Ohio

4. Why did you decide on Loyola for your
undergraduate education?
Excellent question!
I came to Loyola not only for the urban environment, but for
the unique experiences I knew I would have from being
surrounded by so many diverse students and
organizations. Plus, who wouldn’t want to be a Rambler?!

5. Why did you decide to become a History Major?
o Even though history is a study of past events,
it also teaches us about the world we live in
today and how we can further improve it.
o Studying history is also a very useful major to
carry into law school, which I hope to attend in
the future.
o In addition, knowing the dates of certain
historical events makes you very popular on
your Trivial Pursuit team.
