A lighting upgrade at Dundalk Racecourse in Ireland is projected to save €675,000 over 10 years. The upgrade involved installing a new lighting system at the racecourse's 10-furlong all-weather horse track that provides 700 horizontal and 750 vertical lux for the main camera. The prior lighting technology consumed 1,430 kW while the new system consumes only 1,017 kW, resulting in estimated annual energy savings of 413 kW.
