Students who participated in dual enrollment programs were more likely to persist through their second year of college and enter college within seven months of high school graduation compared to non-participating students. Those who completed 20 or more credits in their first year of college through dual enrollment courses were 28% more likely to persist to their second year. Earning at least 20 credits in the first year, remaining continuously enrolled with no more than one semester break, and entering college soon after high school all increased the chances of graduating within an average time frame.
