The Drysdale History Collection contains 4 shelves of materials documenting the school's history from 1969 onwards, including photos, slides, albums, menus, newsletters, programs, brochures, film, fabrics, and newspaper clippings. Currently, the collection aims to maintain, protect, and preserve the materials. In the future, the collection will be organized, scanned, and digitized, with some photos already digitized and stored on a Flickr account. Many photos have been removed from unsafe storage and protected in archival sleeves for preservation.

The Centre for Archaeological Fieldwork at Queen's University Belfast has been excavating Carrickfergus Castle in County Antrim, uncovering aspects of its 19th century military use. They have traced the length of an ordnance munitions tunnel where supplies were offloaded from ships and taken into the castle for storage. So far they have found narrow-gauge railway tracks and a turntable used to move materials. The excavations are also revealing artifacts from earlier periods of the castle's occupation buried in the compacted soil. An open day provided photos and a tour for visitors to learn about the excavation work.

- 6. Photos and papers are protected by acid free polypropylene sleeves and photo albums. These sleeves are recommended for archival purposes. Many photos have been removed from ‘Magnetic’ photo albums and pvc plastic sheathes. Unfortunately, many more photos are trapped behind contact covered pages and cannot be easily removed without damaging the photo.
