2. Within this presentation I will be presenting some basic ideas of three
possible ideas of trailers. I will also be gaining feedback from my chosen
target audience for my chosen trailer. I will provide a brief description,
what I like about the trailer and why I did or didn’t choose it.

3. Possible Trailer 1 -
The outline of this film is based on a group of friends who plan on breaking in
on their local school after rumours of the school being haunted. They all
plan on staying in the school for the whole night where they investigate
different areas of the school and conduct a séance to make contact with
the spirit and see if the rumours are true. As their night progresses it
becomes evident that they are not the only ones in the school and weird
things start happening. One by one each of the friends begin to go missing
and getting out of the school becomes harder and harder.
I liked this idea based on the idea of it focusing on students and turning a
school environment into something creepy. I believe it would be appealing
for students, as there are always rumours of ‘ghosts’ and ‘strange
happenings’ within schools.
Although I decided not to use this idea based on the school always being
busy with other students and it being hard to shoot based on the timings of
day. This means it wouldn’t be creepy enough and there were to many
distractions.
Characters – 4-6 students and 2 other characters to act as the spirits.
Possible film names – Lost in the dark / Alone
Setting – Grace Academy Darlaston

4. Possible Trailer 2 -
Trailer 2 is based on a film where a group of bullies at a school physically and
mentally torture a female student know as Amy at their same school. So much
so that the girl writes a suicide letter, heads out to a local forest and is never
found again. No one knows if she's alive, she died or someone abducted her.
The guilt stricken bullies decide to head out to the forest where she went
missing and find Amy. It then becomes apparent that someone is hunting the
4 bullies down. Is it Amy or is it Amy's killer?
I liked the thriller storyline of this possible trailer as I believe it would build
suspense during the creation. Again it is also includes students within the film,
meaning it would appeal to my chosen target audience. Although I decided
not to chose this trailer, based on the development of this storyline in the next
slide. I believe I have made the storyline more of a horror genre, not just
focusing on thriller like this possible trailer. I want to include suspense and
horror.
Characters – 4 students,1 character to play Alice,1 mystery character.
Possible film names – Innocence
Setting – Grace Academy Darlaston and a forest area.

5. Possible Trailer 3 -
Trailer 3 is based on 2 girls who have arranged a forest party in the
middle of no where, where they are going to camp for the night. Although
rumours suggest that a mystery stalker roams the forest killing innocent
people who cross his path. Both girls get lost in the forest and begin
to realise that someone is watching and following them. The night is
fast approaching and no escape is known. The stalker is hunting these
girls down and they can't escape. He manages to capture both girls. Know it’s up to
them to survive and escape the torture.
The reason I liked this possible trailer was based on it focusing on both a horror
and thriller genre. I believe the horror will involve individuals who like the
concept of a film that includes, killings, injuries etc. The thriller genre will then
involve those who love suspense, twists and those who want to know more
about the storyline.
Based on this, Trailer 3 would be my chosen trailer to film.
Characters – 2 girls to play Jasmine and Alice. 1 character to play stalker.
Possible film names – Paranoid
Setting – Range of forest and park area's.

6. Possible Trailer
The drafting of my trailers all consist of horror and thriller genre's. I have
chosen to let people around the same age as myself to choose which trailer
I should create. This is based on the target audience and I believe they
should have in put in which is the most interesting. I did not just want to use
my own personal opinion, I wanted to included others.
I have copied each description of the three possible trailers and asked
around 30 students and family members to read each section and the
choose one choice and write their preferred option.
I then counted up the results to find that -
Trailer 1 - 9
Trailer 2 - 5
Trailer 3 – 16
Based on these results I chose Trailer 3. Feedback I received explained
they would find trailer 3 more interesting and they wanted to know more
information about the stalker. Other feedback consisted of the participants
liking the suspense and horror build up.
