3. Mission: Mobilizing power of the alumni to excel in
standards of health through better management of
health care and related programs in a national and
global perspectives
Vision: Promoting stewardship in continuum of
health care management through education,
research and networking by the alumni, with the
alumni and for the alumni
Goal: Encouraging the Alumni for optimizing
relationships and raising standards as health care
professionals
4. Objectives:
•To manage (update and maintain) database of alumni of
various academic programs and fraternity including training
programs;
•To organize mutually beneficial interactions (exchange of
professional knowledge through technical conferences,
seminars, workshops, and training programs) between the
Alumni and the Alma Mater periodically;
•To form regional chapters to facilitate the life-long process of
education and personal development;
•To generate corpus at the IIHMR Jaipur for creating better
residential /educational/recreational facilities for the Alumni;
and
•To undertake activities of capacity building of the civil society
and community-based organizations including those of
charitable nature
5. Core Values:
•Adopt the values of personal and professional excellence,
inclusiveness and diversity, advocacy, and IIHMR pride;
•Participate faithfully, and consistently in Alumni Committee
meetings and functions, regional alumni chapter events and
other Institute’s functions;
•Develop strong working relationships with other Alumni

6. Code of Conduct:
All decisions and subsequent actions of the Institute alumni including
chapters will support the aims expressed in the Mission Statement.
The members will endeavor to make all decisions as a team to
enhance the effectiveness of the group and ensure that careful
consideration is given to all options.
No activity undertaken by the group shall create a discernible
advantage for any one member
All decisions and actions of the members and the officers of the
Alumni Committee are open to review by the Director. The Director is
the final arbitrator of whether or not decisions and actions support
the aims expressed in the Mission Statement.
No one may use these names, marks, abbreviations, designs or
symbols without the prior written consent of the Alumni office or
administrative cell.
7. Membership
The person who have obtained a diploma/ degree from
IIHMR, Jaipur shall be entitled to be enrolled as members of
the association
Along with IIHMR funds allocated for alumni, students will
deposit the alumni membership fee (Rs 3000) along with
second year fee.

8. Alumni Committee
Consists of at least six members.
The Committee is formed and work under the guidance of the
Dean (Academics and Student Affairs) and Director, IIHMR.
The committee members are as follows:
Executive Committee
Chairperson (one of the IIHMR faculty members who are the
committee members) -1
Members (IIHMR faculty members: Health, Hospital, Pharma,
Rural) – 3 (one of them become the Chairperson)
Alumni representative (who is working with IIHMR) - 1

Selection through elections. In the first year three students
one from each stream is selected. In the second year, they
continue and one student from either health or hospital is
selected through elections. Therefore, a total of seven
students form the core committee. The core committee work
under the guidance of the chairperson.
10. Students’ Auxiliary Committee
For various proposed events, auxiliary committees are formed
as per the requirement and student volunteers provide
assistance. Their role is over after the event. All the
Committee members including the core committee will be
provided a certificate of appreciation.
The Auxiliary committee is formed at the time of any particular
event like alumni meet (Maitreya), annual conference
((Pradanya, seminar and workshops.
For technical support student volunteers are given a chance
to execute various roles and responsibilities of the Alumni
Committee.
There could be more than one Auxiliary Committee like
reception, transport, accommodation, catering, logistics, and
conducting various sessions.
Tentatively a team of 12 student volunteers is adequate to
support the event successfully
11. Alumni Head Office
The head office of the association shall be at the IIHMR,
Jaipur, India.
The administration of alumni will remain with the alumni office
or administrative cell which is headed by Alumni Relations
Officer [Deputy General Manager (Academics)] who will work
closely with the Dean (Academics and Student Affairs).
The functions of this cell are to build, nurture, funds-raising,
coordinate with the executive alumni committee, liaison with
key stakeholders, planning annual alumni meets, and data
management.
12. Role and Responsibilities of Alumni Committees
Executive Committee
•Nominated Executive committee members are expected to:
•Learn the mission, vision, goals and objective of the Alumni Committee;
•Communicate the mission and purpose of the IIHMR and Alumni
Committee to the wider alumni population including the students’ core
committee;
•Empower the students committee members towards successful
implementation of the plan
•Hold meetings periodically (at least once a month and/or as per the
requirements).
•Supervise in order to achieve the desired objectives by periodic
meetings in consultation with the Core Committee
•Participate actively in strategic and long range program planning to
promote alumni awareness, engagement and commitment to the
Institute;
•Assist current students and alumni in career planning, placement and
transitions;
•Submit the annual report (annex) developed by the Students’ core
committee to the Dean and Director
13. Role and Responsibilities of Alumni Committees
Students’ Core Committee
•Elected Students’ core committee members are expected to:
•Learn the objectives of the Alumni committee
•Support a strong relationship between the Alumni and current students;
•Develop annual action plan (including budget) in consultation with the
Executive Committee
•Strengthen the ongoing activities by involving student volunteers
•Pro-act towards implementation of the plan
•Participate and hold regular periodic meetings, in consultation with the
Executive Committee
•Facilitate data management
•Communicate with alumni at least on monthly basis (sharing news
about the Institute)
•Recognize fellow alumni who are distinguished by their loyalty,
professional achievement and community service;
•Document the events in consultation with the Executive Committee
