#DiversifyOurNarrative, or DON, is a student-led initiative that
targets school boards to expand curriculum with diverse and
anti-racist texts. Founded by two Stanford students, we believe
in the power of the public school system to enact long-lasting,
institutional change that will be instrumental in this fight for
justice and equality. We have not only observed the prominent
anti-Blackness in America, but also the lack of proper education
on these critical issues in our schools. Through mobilizing
different school boards throughout the state, we collectively
strive towards our goal of comprehensive, anti-racist education.

Our mission is to fight to be anti-racist and encourage a
productive dialogue on race and identity among our student
bodies through the inclusion of racially diverse, anti-racist texts
in USA Schools. It is our obligation to fight for education about
race, racism, and anti-racism in America through the right
books and curriculum.
We value towards racial justice, educational equity, and
community power. The centerpiece of this movement is around
the concept to #DiversifyOurNarrative through the books,
curriculum, and teaching practices we engage in. We express
these values through student leadership, educational resources,
and inclusive curriculum.

Logo
Logos are the driving force to any branding project. At Diversify
Our Narrative, our logo symbolizes youth empowerment through
modern change. It is important that our logo reflects who we are
as an organization. It is a requirement to properly display the logo
in all Diversify Our Narrative related media. Please refer to the
following pages for logo related usage.

Knock Out Logo
The Diversify Our Narrative logo comes in multiple colorways. The color
and black logo must be placed on light backgrounds, while the knock
out logo must be placed on dark backgrounds to create contrast.
The Diversify Our Narrative type consists of the font, Tuppence in
semibold, and is our signature equality green color. It also includes our
logo mark of a smiling star to appeal to youth in playful manner.

Do not compress the logo.
Usage
The minimum size of the
logo is no less than 1.5 x
0.5 inches.
There is a minimum clear
space that must surround
the logo in order to
preserve the content. The
preferred clear space is
defined by the height of the
smiley face and “x”.
Incorrect Usage
Accessibility is important to us, meaning the look of the logo
should not be compromised. Here are examples of incorrect
use of our logo.
Do not flip the logo. Do not rotate the logo.
Do not distort the logo. Do not recolor the logo. Do not add a dropshadow.
Do not crop the logo. Do not change the font. Do not rearrange the logo.

Color
Usage
Color is the leading tool that drives every creative project. For
Diversify Our Narrative, our colors symbolize concepts we value.
Our color system is divided into primary and secondary palettes. It
is a requirement for the primary palette to be used in all Diversify
Our Narrative media, while the secondary palette may be used
if necessary. Unless in unique situations that require contrast,
it is recommended to use equality green for all text and logos in
Diversify Our Narrative media. The remaining colors may be used for
visual elements.

There are two primary colors in our branding, being the most significant
to our image. These colors reflect the fight for equality and ally ship within
our organization.
Secondary Colors
There are three additional secondary colors in our branding. These
may be used in moderation. They reflect the youth, inclusion, and
empowerment of our organization.

System
A picture speaks a thousand words, which is why it is important
that all imagery in Diversify Our Narrative related media reflects
our values. Images should relate to youth, education, and
activism. Using the correct imagery will not only help others
understand our organization, but also aid our members in
reflection what Diversify Our Narrative is about. It is required
that all images must be at high resolution to ensure clarity when
publishing and printing media. Please reference the following
pictures for examples of approved images.

Collaterals
Collaterals are a key part of marketing materials. From business
cards to letterheads, we would like to ensure that our team’s gear
stays true to our branding. Please apply all Diversify Our Narrative
typographical, color, and logo guidelines to ensure cohesiveness
across all branding. Each piece of marketing requires the use of
the official Diversify Our Narrative logo at least once, as well as a
minimum of three visual elements.

  • 3. 4 5 #DiversifyOurNarrative, or DON, is a student-led initiative that targets school boards to expand curriculum with diverse and anti-racist texts. Founded by two Stanford students, we believe in the power of the public school system to enact long-lasting, institutional change that will be instrumental in this fight for justice and equality. We have not only observed the prominent anti-Blackness in America, but also the lack of proper education on these critical issues in our schools. Through mobilizing different school boards throughout the state, we collectively strive towards our goal of comprehensive, anti-racist education.
  • 4. 6 7 Our mission is to fight to be anti-racist and encourage a productive dialogue on race and identity among our student bodies through the inclusion of racially diverse, anti-racist texts in USA Schools. It is our obligation to fight for education about race, racism, and anti-racism in America through the right books and curriculum. We value towards racial justice, educational equity, and community power. The centerpiece of this movement is around the concept to #DiversifyOurNarrative through the books, curriculum, and teaching practices we engage in. We express these values through student leadership, educational resources, and inclusive curriculum.
  • 5. 8 9 Brand Logo Logos are the driving force to any branding project. At Diversify Our Narrative, our logo symbolizes youth empowerment through modern change. It is important that our logo reflects who we are as an organization. It is a requirement to properly display the logo in all Diversify Our Narrative related media. Please refer to the following pages for logo related usage.
  • 6. 10 11 Logo Colorways Logo In Color Logo In Black Knock Out Logo The Diversify Our Narrative logo comes in multiple colorways. The color and black logo must be placed on light backgrounds, while the knock out logo must be placed on dark backgrounds to create contrast. The Diversify Our Narrative type consists of the font, Tuppence in semibold, and is our signature equality green color. It also includes our logo mark of a smiling star to appeal to youth in playful manner. Logo mark Logo The logo mark may be used separately from the logo if needed.
  • 7. 12 13 Do not compress the logo. Usage The minimum size of the logo is no less than 1.5 x 0.5 inches. There is a minimum clear space that must surround the logo in order to preserve the content. The preferred clear space is defined by the height of the smiley face and “x”. Incorrect Usage Accessibility is important to us, meaning the look of the logo should not be compromised. Here are examples of incorrect use of our logo. Do not flip the logo. Do not rotate the logo.   • 8. 14 15 Color Usage Color is the leading tool that drives every creative project. For Diversify Our Narrative, our colors symbolize concepts we value. Our color system is divided into primary and secondary palettes. It is a requirement for the primary palette to be used in all Diversify Our Narrative media, while the secondary palette may be used if necessary. Unless in unique situations that require contrast, it is recommended to use equality green for all text and logos in Diversify Our Narrative media. The remaining colors may be used for visual elements.
