2. • I’ve chosen to stick to stereotypes when choosing actors
to act out the interviews. For example, for eating
disorders, I will interview a female of the age of around
18. I hope that this will make the documentary more
relevant and enable audiences to be inspired or feel
empathy for the interviewee.

3. • From research I have done on documentaries, I have
found that the most effective locations when talking about
a dark subject is somewhere which matches the
mood, somewhere quite sinister or an area which implies
deep thought, such as a beach.
• Something which I feel to be key is that the background
or the location doesn’t draw too much attention to it. In
other words, I want the audiences attention to be on the
person speaking or the flashback, not the surroundings.

4. • I aim to limit the use of voice over as I don’t believe it to
be effective in keeping the audiences interest and
attention
• I will use the dialogue of the interviewee’s to present the
seriousness of the issues being covered, along with
typography containing facts in-between scenes.
